Ingenious design reduces jaw crusher abrasion

Jaw crusher is the most common, and also the most important mining equipment in ore dressing production base, stone production line and sand making production line. The working principle of jaw crusher is “squeeze". When the materials are transferred from the feed inlet into the crushing chamber, movable jaw plate tends to attach the static jaw plate to get crushing effect. But due to the direct contact of movable jaw plate and material, movable jaw plate relatively undertakes large load. Long time moving, especially when the materials have large hardness, considerably wear jaw plate, so that jaw crusher cannot break. Thus, the material will be stuck in the crushing cavity, and affect the entire production line of work.

The kind of crusher adopts thrust plate as insurance components to protect the important parts cannot be damaged, if the hardness of material that entering into the crushing cavity surpass equipment limitations. In general, thrust plate castings are divided into two types, but their effect is both to protect the device’s important component. One is casting iron overall; thus, holes or a groove in thrust plate can reduce the whole board section strength. The other is a board cast by two, and then links them with screws. When hardness of material exceeds the limitation, device generates overload phenomenon, then all the force will be passed to the thrust plate which leads to fracture. Thus, equipment will stop working and effectively reach protect function, reducing the damage of jaw crusher.
